December: Dinner and a Movie

I started with this program because I knew that a lot of my programs in this guide require some kind of TV, and I wanted to make sure that one was readily available. I think this is a really simple but effective program to bring in engagement with teens without a lot of legwork. I chose Napoleon Dynamite because it’s one of my favorite movies but teens will tell you what kinds of movies they want to watch.

Details

Audience: Teens and Tweens

Popular Topics:

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Hands-On

Theme/Subjects:

  • Movies

Total Budget: $21.77

  • This program really just requires turning on the movie, so it doesn’t take very long to plan out the program. All you really have to do is prepare the tater tots, rent the movie, and turn it on. I chose to cook tater tots because they’re fairly easy to air-fry.

  • I will market it by making a flyer and posting it on Instagram.
