May: Hunger Games Trivia
The Hunger Games series has continued to be a hugely significant and popular book series with teens at the library, and will only become more popular with the release of the new Prequel movies. Having a Hunger Games trivia encourages teens to read the books and show off their comprehension skills.

This program requires more prepping because you have to write a lot of questions for it. I used the main books and the Hunger Games wiki to write questions from the original series. I also used Kahoot, which is an online trivia-making platform that most of our teens already know how to use. They can play on their phones or school-issued computers in order to participate, and there isn’t a maximum number of participants so teens don’t have to sign up beforehand.
PREP STEPS:
Write trivia questions in a google doc. I divided the trivia rounds up by group, so each different round is about a different book, area, or character.
Plug each question into the Kahoot. The maximum number of questions is 100.

This would be a fun program to pair with a book club or a movie night at the library. I would make trivia the finale in a series of weekly movie nights, and I would market them all together.
BUDGET DETAILS:
$25 per month for a Kahoot360 subscription
$10 gift card

Day of Event Activity:
Connect tv to a computer
pull up Kahoot on the computer and log in
Pull up the Hunger Games Trivia.
Program Execution:
Go through the questions using the computer connected to the TV. I like to read the questions out loud as well.
