March: Bob Ross Paint-Alongs

This is a great program to introduce to teens that might be intimidated by fine arts and painting. Episodes of The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross are available on Youtube for free, and by following along with a step-by-step way to create an art project, participants will leave this program with a finished landscape painting. Bob Ross is as entertaining as he is educational, and providing a background of his place in art history gives participants an insight into his impact and legacy.

Details

Audience: Teens and Early Adults

Popular Topics:

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Hands-On

Theme/Subjects:

  • Nature

  • Panting

  • History

Total Budget: $71.57

  • I think the majority of the time spent will be for creating the presentation about Bob Ross beforehand. Other than that, you would just have to choose which video you would like to follow. I found all of the episodes on youtube and thought this would be a great program for teens that could be for either a larger audience or a smaller audience. For the materials that I budgeted for, this program will be intended for 25 participants.

  • Similarly to the photography program, the plan is to market it on instagram using a canva flyer, and then use the photos that were developed to make further marketing materials about future programs after the program.
